Barbara Jones

Barbara Jones FRSA has an international reputation as a leading practitioner in sustainable design, working in the social enterprise amazonails®. She has pioneered the use of straw as an energy efficient, person-friendly and structural building material in the UK and has developed designs for foundations that use no cement or plastic. Through amazonails® she offers design and consultancy, as well as practical hands-on training in the use of straw and other natural materials such as clay and lime for plastering. She is working internationally to develop training courses in natural building techniques. www.amazonails.org.uk
