A biography of a speaker at the South West Housing Event

Toby Rubbra

Toby is a lead consultant with Vanguard Consulting and over the last six years has managed numerous interventions in both public and private sectors, from housing to insurance, facilitating clients to realise huge benefits in performance and efficiency using the Vanguard methodology. As an interventionist and sensei, Toby has worked with, and guided, many senior organisational leaders in learning and then adopting the systems thinking principles that underpin benefit realisation.

Prior to joining Vanguard, Toby’s career has taken him from management and marketing roles with Blue Chip and Hi-Tech employers both in the UK and abroad before setting up in Business and IT consultancy from 1995. This wide ranging business experience combined with strong leadership, communication skills and pragmatic approach adds huge value for clients in his current role.

Toby graduated from Bristol University in 1989 with a BSc. Hons. in Biochemistry. He now realises that this was the ultimate systems and process mapping degree! He is married with three daughters and lives in Devon.
