Delegate Bookings

This page gives details of how to book places for delegates at the Event. It also explains what the options are, and the terms and conditions applicable to your booking.

Please note that we are happy to accept personal bookings in addition to those from employers.

Fees for the coming Event are shown below:

The rates shown are exclusive of VAT

What the fee includes:

• The prices above are exclusive of any early booking discount.
• Fees for Delegates booked on Option A include accommodation, refreshments, lunch on the days booked including the Conference Dinner on Thursday evening and attendance at all Conference Sessions.
• Fees for Delegates booked on Options B and C include refreshments, lunch on the days booked and attendance at all Conference Sessions for those days.
• Fees for Delegates booked on Option D include the Conference Dinner and the evening's entertainment.
• Please do not send any payment with this booking as you will be invoiced before the event, once we have administered your booking
• There is limited parking on site. Delegates are asked to make their own arrangements for travel, sharing vehicles where possible, and parking sensibly in neighbouring streets in areas where parking is allowed without restriction.
• The Event may be recorded (images and/or sound) and the booking of any individuals to attend this Event is on the understanding that consent is given to the use of any recorded images and sound for whatever purpose is deemed appropriate by the Chartered Institute of Housing, including publicising the Event in the future.
• The copyright of all training material rests with the CIH or the trainer

Accommodation:

• The Conference Hotel accommodation will be allocated in relation to date order of booking.
• Accommodation booked for each person is for one night.
• Day delegates requiring accommodation may wish to book their own accommodation at the:

  (transport to and from the Conference Hotel will not be provided for delegates booking their own accommodation) ..

Special Requirements:

• The Conference Hotel is partially accessible for wheelchairs. Please note that some of the rooms in use are a distance from the main conference hall and people with limited mobility may have some difficulty. Please state all special/dietary requirements on the booking form.

Cancellations and Changes :

• Cancellation for delegates: prior to 1st September - no charge, on or after 1st September - no refund. Others may attend in place of those originally booked - please telephone 02476 851772 as soon as possible; an administration charge of £30 will be made for changes made on or after 1st September.
• Where changes are made on or after 1st September, the organisers are not able to change a category of booking. For example, if a delegate has booked option A, but cannot attend, the replacement also has to take option A.
• CIH will not be liable for reimbursing delegate fees if delegates are not able to attend an event due to circumstances out of the CIH's reasonable control including, but not limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, transport strikes, closures or delays or any other Force Majeure or Act of God
• CIH may have to cancel an event. In this case, we will return any payments received in advance. We will not refund any other costs you may incur as a result of this cancellation.

Badges:

• Badges are the "tickets" to this event, and as such are a valuable document.
• After badges are issued, they are not transferable.
• Entrance to the Conference and Exhibition hall, sessions and meals will be by badge or ticket only.

Limitation of Liability

• The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) accepts responsibility for accident, injury or loss suffered whilst attending this event if it is directly due to negligence on our part.
• Delegates are responsible for taking care of their own property.
• CIH accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred whilst using material or information gained at this event.
