Synopsis
Voids Turnaround How to improve performance by five days or your money back!
Voids management is one of the key areas of performance on which housing organizations are judged. It is also a business critical area of activity. Effective performance maximizes income, minimizes risk and protects property assets while delivering excellence in customer services. Yet the range of performance is very wide, with the best organizations turning round vacancies twice as fast as the poorest performers.
Managing performance is challenging because it involves many activities, usually spread across a number of operational responsibilities. It’s like carrying the baton in a relay race with all the team running at top speed, while making sure the baton does not get dropped.
The session will look at some of the critical stages in the process and, drawing on the experience of some of the top performers, identify areas where time can often be saved. It will show why it is a mistake to pidgeon-hole managing property voids as a branch of housing management when it needs to be seen as a whole organization challenge. When approached that way real improvements can follow.
