Privacy and cookie policy at the South West Housing Event
Privacy and cookie policy
This page outlines the privacy policy for the South West Housing Event and its dedicated website.
This site does not use cookies, except for accessibility. Cookies are small files generated by many sites when you first log on. They help those sites recognise you when you return. We do not consider it necessary to use cookies in this way. However, to enable people to select a larger font size we do get Javascript to create a cookie which remembers which size text you require. This will remain on your computer for a day. If you select a larger font on any page by clicking on a letter at the top of any page, this will create a cookie. It sends no information to us, merely tells your computer which font size you like. If you do not want to create the cookie, do not select a larger font.
Information about exhibitors and their staff is obtained only by completion of the booking form on this site by users.
Information about delegates and those booking delegate places is collected through the booking process on the main site of the Chartered Institue of Housing. For detailed infomation please visit the Terms and Conditions page at the CIH main site.
Information about the country of origin of the internet service providers of site users is supplied to us by our server software, and we are also able to see which browser software is in use. We can also collect statistical information about the use of our site, including which pages are most popular.
Information requested in booking forms is solely used in connection with forthcoming housing events, to enable the organisers to provide the service requested, and to tell past delegates and exhibitors about future events. Information on booking forms is used by the Chartered Institute of Housing to despatch invoices to organisations and individuals booking, and by hotels providing services to delegates and exhibitors.
A list of delegates and exhibitors is circulated to all exhibitors and delegates attending the event.
Any complaints should be sent in writing to Sadie Tearle whose address, e-mail address and telephone number are given on the "Contact Us" page.
The Event may be recorded (images and/or sound) and the booking of any individuals to attend this Event is on the understanding that consent is given to the use of any recorded images and sound for whatever purpose is deemed appropriate by the Chartered Institute of Housing, including publicising the Event in the future.
